After recently organizing a dining room, a client shared how she took the organizing one step further. The organizing started a few weeks back. We organized the dining room by sifting through all the drawers, cabinets, and storage spots by searching for mismatched, worn out, and outdated table linens, table ware, and decorative items. Many bags were filled with donations and my client was left with lots of new space and only what she truly enjoyed using for dinner parties. Today I returned and she told me how she took the organizing one step further. Since organizing the dining room, she called her interior designer and asked if the interior designer could come view her rediscovered tableware and add to it. The interior designer came and took thorough stock of what was kept and went shopping to add in what she’d need to create beautiful table settings. After the shopping is complete, the interior designer will dress the table in the 3-4 chosen “looks”. My client will take pictures and save them to use as a reference next time she entertains! i think that’s ingenius! What a great idea to make entertaining simple and who would have thought that getting organized would start a chain effect for efficiency.
